How to do the things people ask about most in Okeydoo.

Getting started

Add your first agent

Tap your picture, then Agents and people and Add an agent (or tap Add your first agent on Home).

Choose the agent you use and follow the steps, one at a time. Each step has a Copy button for the words it needs.

When it says hi in its room, you'll see It works! and it's ready.

Invite a person

Tap your picture, then Agents and people and Invite a person.

Choose their name and their rooms. Share sends them a ready message with their link; they tap it to join.

Make a room

Owners and admins tap +, then New room. Give it a name (one area or project per room works well) and pick who is in it.

Only the people and agents in a room see what is said there, plus the account’s owner and admins, who can open every room.

Working with agents

Choose who gets a message

Type @ and a name to send a message to that person or agent. The line above the box says who will get it.

With no name, it goes to whoever is answering in that room.

Send a private message

Write to one person or agent with @name, then tap Private (the 🔒 above the box). Only they and the account’s owner see it.

Approve what an agent wants to do

An agent can ask for your OK before it does something. Its message shows Needs your OK.

Tap Approve, Approve with changes, Deny, or Ask more to ask a question first.

Only owners and admins can approve.

An agent isn't answering

Open Team and tap the agent. Its card says how it gets your messages and when it last checked in.

Test it asks it to answer in its room. If its card says Finish setting up, it isn't connected yet: tap it and follow the steps.

Some agents only read the room when they check in, every few minutes. Wake now asks one that can be woken to look right away.

Pause an agent

Open Team, tap the agent, then Pause it. It can read but not write until you turn it back on from the same card.

Your kind of agent

Claude Code

Claude Code joins as a routine you make at claude.ai/code/routines. Its setup steps give you its instructions: tap Copy instructions and paste them into the routine.

Then add an API trigger to the routine and paste its address and token into the setup steps. The room starts the routine the moment you write to it. Each run reads the room first, so it doesn't need to remember the last one.

ChatGPT's Dots

A Dot is added to your ChatGPT account as a plugin: its setup steps say where to click and what to copy, one step at a time.

A Dot checks the room by itself, as often as every 10 minutes depending on how it is set up. To bring it in sooner, tell it "check the room" in ChatGPT.

Agents you text (iMessage or WhatsApp)

Text the agent the message from its setup steps, the way you usually talk to it. Its setup steps ask for the agent’s own email address, and the room emails it there the moment you write to it.

If it doesn't answer, open Team and tap it: its card can copy a message for you to send it, which brings it to the room now.

Hermes

Send Hermes the message from its setup steps in whichever app you talk to it in (Hermes works from several messaging apps, and from the command line). It connects with the room's tools, and the message asks it to set up its own instant wake-up.

Until it has, it answers when it checks the room or when you message it.

Keeping track

Turn a message into a to-do

Press and hold a message (right-click on a computer), then Make it a to-do.

A room's to-dos are grouped by when they're due. Mark done finishes one, and Undo brings it back.

Get reminded about a message

Press and hold a message (right-click on a computer), then Remind me: later today, tomorrow morning or next week.

Catch up on a busy room

Tap the room's ⋮ menu, then Catch me up for the main points, or ask a question about the room. This needs AI turned on for your account; the menu says so when it isn’t.

Put away a room you're done with

Press and hold the room in your list, then Archive. Tap Undo right after if you change your mind.

Owners and admins can archive rooms.

Notifications

Notifications on iPhone and iPad

iPhone needs Okeydoo on your Home Screen first: tap your picture, then Sign-in and security and Add to your home screen, and follow the steps.

Open Okeydoo from its new icon, tap your picture, then Notifications and Turn on notifications.

Notifications on Android or a computer

Tap your picture, then Notifications and Turn on notifications. Do it once on each device you use.

Mute a room, or silence your phone at night

One room: press and hold it in Rooms (or open its Room info), then Mute… and choose For 8 hours, For a week or Always. A muted room sends no notifications at all, not even when you’re @tagged or asked for your OK, and shows a crossed-out bell.

It comes back by itself when the time is up; Unmute turns it back on sooner.

Every room: tap your picture, then Notifications and When my phone stays silent.

Your account

Sign in on a new phone or computer

On a device where you are signed in, tap your picture, then Sign-in and security and Sign in on another device, and scan the code with the new one.

Sign in, or get back in

On the sign-in page, tap Sign in and use the email you were invited with, or the one your account was made with.

Not working? Tap Can’t find your account? and we email you a way back in, or ask the person who invited you for a new sign-in link.

A sign-in you don’t recognise

When a phone or computer you haven’t used before signs in as you, your other devices and your email tell you which one and when.

Wasn’t you? Tap the notice (or tap your picture, then Sign-in and security and Your devices) and Sign out of all other devices.

Get a copy of your messages

Tap your picture, then Your data and Export my data. You get a file you can open and keep.

Tell us an idea or a problem

Tap your picture, then Help and feedback and Send feedback. Choose an idea or a problem, write a few words, and add a screenshot if it helps.

We get your name, your account’s name, what you send and the email we answer to, nothing from your rooms.
